In summary:

- Late fees will be lowered for registrations that happen during the second half of the season from $75 to $35.
- A minimum of a half-shield visor is now required equipment in all tiers.

C-tier pond hockey sessions will be organized over the holidays by Biff Loggerpants.

These pond hockey sessions are geared toward C tier and other beginner players from 40+ and Women’s tiers.

Keep the ‘Holiday 10’ from packing on while also improving your skills and blowing off stress from the in-laws’ 3-week visit!

The fall season is rapidly coming to an end! (Remember to turn in your JAHA-issued jerseys as soon as you can after you win your tier or are eliminated!)

If you’re looking to keep the dream alive, sign up for the Holiday Jamboree before the deadline, midnight, November 20th.

Some details…

- Up to 5 teams of 10-13 skaters and a goalie.
- Mixed skill.
- Six games, starting 11/30 through 12/14, Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays (with one Thursday).
- No playoffs or championship.
- $90 for skaters, $50 for goalies.

When registering, describe any special requests in the “Comments” section of the registration process. If you are requesting to be placed on the same team as another player, please limit the request to TWO people and state the reason(s) why (e.g. carpool, family, friend). JAHA will attempt to honor all requests, but requests are not guaranteed.

As playoffs have begun, please take a moment to review Section E of JAHA’s rules dealing with tournaments. JAHA’s rules can be accessed by clicking the “JAHA Rules” link on the lefthand side of the page or by following this link:

In a nutshell, JAHA’s tournament rules are:

- No player substitutions except for goalies.
- If a game is tied after regulation time has elapsed, a 5 minute, 5-on-5 overtime period shall be played.
- If a game remains tied after the overtime period, a shootout shall determine the winner.
- A shootout shall be best-of-3, with each team selecting 3 shooters to participate.
- If the game remains tied after the best-of-3 rounds, then more rounds of shooters shall take shots until there’s a winner.
- No shooter may shoot again until everyone else has taken a shot.
- A shootout may not end until both teams have taken the same number of shots.

Just a reminder that if you have a jersey that was issued to you by JAHA, please return it to your team representative after your final game. If you will not be attending your final game, please return your jersey beforehand or otherwise arrange to have it returned.

Make sure that it’s noted on your team’s jersey sign-out sheet that you returned your jersey to avoid a $50 fine.

We’d also really appreciate it if you could take a look in your hockey bag for any other JAHA-issued jerseys from past seasons and return those as well.
