Wednesday 8:00 and Thursday 10:30 Games have been CANCELED

Posted by JAHA Webmaster on Oct 06 2021 at 10:16AM PDT in Fall 2021

Hello Tier AB Players,

We were informed last night that a player at the Sunday night 9:00pm Island Pub/Amalga Kings league game had tested positive after the game. As a precaution, we are cancelling the Wednesday night 8:00pm and Thursday night 10:30 games to allow players time to get tested and monitor for any symptoms that may develop before returning to play. As of now, the current hope is to find room to reschedule these games later in the season. If they aren’t, players will be refunded for the missed ice time.

Currently, the rink recommendation is to get tested 3-5 days after exposure. There are no hard requirements in place from the rink or city for players who were exposed, although the CDC guidelines still recommend quarantining for 2 weeks for any unvaccinated players. We hope that players will be proactive about getting tested and monitoring for any symptoms to develop before returning to the ice. To schedule a free test, players can either call 586-6000 to schedule through the city, or reach out to their primary care provider.

Please feel free to reach out with any additional comments or concerns.

-Andrew Dimond, JAHA president
