Dear Hockey Player,
On behalf of the entire JAHA board, welcome to the 2008-2009 hockey season.

We hope you are as excited about this season as we are. We have enjoyed
tremendous growth these past years and we once again look forward to
continued expansion. We hope that you will be a part of it and enjoy the JAHA excitement.

I would like to introduce this year’s new JAHA board members:

I am confident that they will be a dedicated group of individuals with great ideas and the willingness to work towards JAHA goals. Also note that there are some vacant spots in the board so if you are interested in serving please contact me.

At JAHA we strive to promote the growth and development of adult recreation and competitive hockey in Alaska's capital city. As with any organization, JAHA will only continue to strengthen through the ideas, participation, and support of its membership. We look forward to hearing from you throughout the season.

Something to look forward this year is the new registration process. We recently contracted the City and Borough of Juneau to provide a walk-up registration at the rink in addition to the previous implemented online registration. What this means to you is more resources that facilitate the registration as well as a Board that will be more concentrated to run a successful and enjoyable season.

The JAHA site, http://www.juneauhockey.org will offer board member contact information, game schedules, important dates, game rules, board meeting minutes, registration information, and other content that will help our season run smooth. Registration will start on August 25th or soon thereafter. Please be sure to check our website regularly. Please help us in carrying a positive season forward. The end result will be a game that is far more enjoyable to both play and watch.

Finally, I would like to thank all past board members for their continuous
dedication to the adult league and for their hard work in previous years.
I am looking forward to serve as the JAHA President as well as to be part of a successful upcoming season.
